Swansea ended the season at St Helens with an emphatic win over old rivals Newport in an exciting display of running football. The Whites scored 9 tries (Walker, Dirksen [2], Prydie[3], N Thomas [2] & Dixon) with Dixon adding 6 conversions and a penalty for a personal tally of 20 points but it was a team effort with everyone contributing to some champagne moments to top an outstanding season. Newport replied in the first half with a try from Alan Awcock to end the half 36 -7 down. The Gwent side's winger grabbed another 2 in the second half but Swansea continued to dominate adding another 4 themselves to finish the game with a 60 - 19 win. Ben Lewis was Man Of The Match.
