·         Swansea RFC confirm a further three signings ahead of the start of the biggest season yet for the club

·         Outside half, Foard Cooksley, back row Owen Morgan, and second row Ed Couzens complete SRFC 2018 squad

In anticipation of the start of the season, Swansea RFC are excited to announce a further three summer signings which will see Foard Cooksley, Owen Morgan and Ed Couzens joining the squad set-up.

Outside half, Foard Cooksley, makes his first Premiership club signing with The Whites whilst studying Rugby Coaching and Performance University of South Wales. Playing initially with Aberavon Quins and Aberavon Green Stars, Foard was part of the Ospreys Under 16 set up and is now part of the USW Rugby squad along side his Premiership rugby.

19-year-old Owen Morgan has youth and senior experience with Glynneath RFC, Trebanos RFC and Narberth RFC. Training with the Ospreys Age Grade Academy at under 16 and under 18, Owen is another player making his first Premiership signing this season with The Whites and keen to experience the semi professional set up.

A product of Cowbridge RFC, second row Ed Couzens signs for The Whites from Trebanos RFC who made a big impact as the new comers in the Championship last season finishing third in the league. The Swansea University Sports Science student was also involved within the Ospreys Premiership Select set up last season, playing vs Nottingham.

Pre-season fixtures kicked off last Saturday at Broadacre vs Dunvant RFC and continue with a trip to Trebanos this weekend. We also have an additional pre-season fixture in place of a trip to RGC and will play Newport in Risca on Thursday 23rd August.

18th August – Trebanos RFC away, 2:30pm

23rd August – Newport RFC, hosted at Risca RFC, 7:30pm

The season will then kick off on the 1st September away to Aberavon RFC, with the first home fixture taking place on the 8th September vs RGC. A big season needs big crowds so be sure not to miss any of the action with our season tickets which are still available to purchase, full info on the website!
