WRU National Cup draw is confirmed

The draw for the WRU National Cup has pitted Swansea against Narberth in the opening round. 

Swansea will have home advantage on 5th January as St Helen's is the venue for a club we have played in several friendlies in recent times and last played competitively in April 2015, a 50 - 17 win to Swansea resulting that time.

'The Otters' however have been a tough opponent and beat Swansea earlier that season at the Lloyd Lewis Ground by 27 - 20 and cup rugby will make a mockery of any recent form.

Narberth will have no fears coming to St Helen's, having finished second to Pontypool in the Championship last term. The Whites however, have been an ever improving work in progress and new signings are blending in well to make the management at St Helen's optimistic of a season of high performances.

The cup throws holders Merthyr against Aberavon at the Talbot Athletic Ground and Pontypool hosting Neath is another mouth watering fixture as the cup gets going in January. The full draw is below:
